I have been busy having a baby recently, so have fallen behind with my screen printing projects. However, just this week I have taken time out dust off the squeegee and get printing again. To ease myself in gently I thought I’d finish off a print I started way back on my course at the Hotbed Press in Salford. I managed to piece together two acetate prints of my vectorised artwork and gave the coated screen a good blast under the makeshift exsposure unit (an old microphone stand, broken lamp and pie dish). After an hour I was left with a perfect stencil to finish off the bird print nicely! I’m really pleased with the final image, so much so, it’s taken pride of place in our newly renovated kitchen.
